With activities from the relaxed to ones that get the adrenaline pumping, Kaprun has something to keep everyone busy. You can visit the sports centre with outdoor pool on a lazy day, or try your hand at rock-climbing and white water rafting if you feel a little more adventurous. For the thrill-seekers amongst you, the chance to fly through the air on a tandem paraglide or canyoning through the Rauriserache Gorge should not be missed.
If walking is more your thing, join the tourist office on their programme of free guided walks to discover and be amazed by the spectacular views on offer. Hikers should try the ridge walk from the Maiskogel to the foot the glacier which gives views of the Pinzgau like nowhere else. To keep the kids busy, there’s horse trekking, family rafting trips and a mini-golf course or head over to Zell am See for plenty of activities both on and off the lake.
