So what's it like?
Schladming has a rich and colourful history dating back over 700 years to medieval times, for centuries the cultural and craft centre of the area. Nowadays it offers a fine range of shops and cafés in an attractive, pedestrianised centre and a charming old town with the ancient 'Stadttor' (town gateway). There is a superb leisure centre, great walking and a variety of activities, many of which are free with the FREE Schladming All-Inclusive Summer Card! There is also ample choice of evening entertainment including regular brass-band concerts, occasional classical performances and plenty of bars and restaurants.

There is a bus service in the local area that is free with the summer card. The summer lifts in Schladming and Dachstein are open from the end of May to October.
