    Relax and discover

    Local culture: Nestled at the foot of the imposing Kitzbühlere Horn you will love St Johann's ideal setting. Make the baroque style church one of your must do's and afterwards enjoy a drink and the atmosphere in one of the many cafès in the town square.

    Adventure sports: Jump in the saddle and take advantage of the mountain biking trails and afterwards why not take yourself off and relax in the towns leisure centre. Try the Hornpark high ropes course for an exhilarating experience, dodge obstacles, cross rope bridges Indiana Jones style and finish with a zip line across the lake.

    Walking: The mountain gondola will whisk you up to the Harschbichl top station, where a choice of footpaths, an mountain lake and cosy inns are waiting for you. With 210km of footpaths and hiking trails, St. Johann offers a range of walks.

    Evening atmosphere: The square next to the church is a great place to wander around and enjoy a glass of wine after dinner. The town provides you with the perfect place to enjoy the local bands and entertainment during the summer months. There are many different festivals throughout the summer including the Lederhosen and Dumpling festivals.

    Getting about

    There is a bus service to nearbly Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll and a train service from St. Johann to Kitzbühel, Kufstein, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Zell am See. The village also has a gondola into the mountains.
