Nestled at the foot of the imposing Kitzbüheler Horn you will love St Johann’s ideal setting. The town centre provides you the perfect place to enjoy the local bands and entertainment during the summer months. Make the baroque style church one of your must do’s and afterwards enjoy a drink and the atmosphere in one of the many cafés in the town square.
Why not try -- visiting the local Huber Bräu brewery and sampling their beers, all enjoyed from the brewery's tower restaurant with amazing views
- take a trip to the town’s museum, filled with the history of this ancient mining town, the way of life and the Wilder Kaiser Mountains
- joining in with the different festivals throughout the summer, the Lederhosen and the Dumpling festivals are great fun. The highlight is the summer Jaggas'n festival, a fantastic evening of music and dancing all the way through the night

The mountain gondola will whisk you up to the Harschbichl top station, where a choice of footpaths, a mountain lake and cosy inns are waiting for you to explore them. Jump in the saddle and take advantage of the mountain biking trails and afterwards why not take yourself off and relax in the towns swimming pool and leisure centre.
Why not try -- biking the family cycle path trail leading you through picnic spots, viewing platforms and a play area for the kids scattered along your journey
- jumping on the gondola and hiking up to the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn, it’s not for the faint hearted. You'll have an breathtaking walk to the top and on a blue sky day the views are definitely something to shout about
- the Hornpark high ropes course for an exhilarating experience. Dodge the obstacles, cross rope bridges Indiana Jones style and finish with a zip line across the lake
