So what's it like?
The delightfully picturesque village of Walchsee lies directly on the shore of the lake of the same name, surrounded by the spectacular Zahmer Kaiser mountains. Walchsee is typically Tirolean in character and offers lovely warm lake waters (20-24°C) as well as a warm welcome. Right on the lake, the Hotel Bellevue offers plenty of opportunities for swimming and other water sports. The hotel is also a perfect choice for families with a supervised kids' club and organised activities. Local culture: Nestled at the north west of lake is the picture book perfect Tirolean village with beautifully decorated houses most of which have views of the majestic Kaiser Mountains.
Walking: There are offers approx. 200km of hiking paths varying from easy hikes to strenuous tours at high elevations. Follow the steady climb up the steep slopes of the Zahmer Kaiser mountain range. you will be rewarded with some truly outstanding views as Walchsee falls away behind you and the Wilder Kaiser range appears ahead. Or try climbing into the dense forest towards two pretty chapels where the only sound is the babbling of the nearby stream. Water sports: A great place for families there are plenty of activities for you to enjoy on the lake, try your hand at water skiing, enjoy a swim in the lake or if the weather doesn't hold our enjoy a day splashing in the indoor pool. If you prefer to stay dry then take a short cycle ride to the children's adventure park, charging down tobaggon runs and meet the mountain animals Evening atmosphere: Walchsee has a quiet evening atmosphere, the pretty, traditional village is a nice for a walk after dinner or relax with a glass of wine in the hotel bar.Private Transfers
