  • So what's it like?

Skiathos is a lush, green island boasting some of the most impressive beaches in all the Greek Islands. The pace is slow, the tavernas welcoming and the waters crystal clear. Despite its popularity, the huge number of beaches means many remain relatively quiet even in high season. Pine clad hills, traditional sleepy villages, cosmopolitan towns and beautiful scenery await you.

We offer a selection of three resorts, each offering something unique yet together mean that no matter what you're looking for, Skiathos has something to suit you.

Skiathos Town itself is sits on the rugged hillside and is split between the whitewashed houses and traditional tavernas of the old town and the cosmopolitan shopping and modern bars of the new town.

Koukounaries is famed for its beach which is voted one of the four most beautiful in the world. Evenings are quiet, so this village really is all about escape and relaxation.

Aghia Paraskevi boasts picturesque beaches, but in addition there's ample opportunity to get the adrenalin going with an array of watersports. But when the sun goes down the atmosphere calms and evenings are enjoyed in the low key restaurants and bars.

    Relax and discover

Local Culture: Explore white-washed, red-roofed Skiathos town and spot locations made famous by the recent film Mamma Mia. Wander through the array of bars and boutiques and take time out in one of the many tavernas to enjoy the warm Greek traditions and hospitality.

Beaches: Spend a day at the most famous of Skiathos’ beaches, Koukounaries, which has a protected wildlife area and two water sports schools. Megali Amos is the main beach for those in Skiathos Town and the beaches at Aghia Paraskevi and Plantanias are picturesque. For a quieter beach option head to Xerxes, Elias and Agistri on the Mandraki peninsula.

Water sports: Make the most of the small scale of Skiathos and spend a day sailing around the island, you can complete a leisurely circuit in around 4 hours and top up you tan whilst you do! If fancy exploring further afield, there are several smaller islands dotted around that are worth visiting if only for their even quieter beaches.

Evening atmosphere: The island has all you need for nightlife. Koukounaries is pretty quiet, but heas to Skiathos Town itself for a cosmopolitan feel and late night haunts. Or for something a little more relaxed, Aghia Paraskevi has a lovely selection of traditional tavernas and restaurants
