  • So what's it like?

Italy offers something for everyone, from the adrenaline junkie to those who want to just relax, we have a destination for you. Whether you choose the crystal clear waters of the Italian lakes, the southern Italian charm of Sardinia and Sicily or the historical and cultural sights of Verona and Venice you won’t be disappointed.

The beauty of the Italian lakes is, quite simply, breathtaking – crisp waters and quaint little lakeside towns and villages to explore. Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore and Lake Como make up Italy’s three major lakes and each offers wonderful views, restaurants and bars where you can dine on tasty pizza whilst taking in the glorious surroundings.

Sardinia boasts stunning coastline with emerald waters and beautiful beaches. Jump in car and explore the island, you’ll find an eclectic mix of places to discover, from quaint little villages to the buzzing celebrity hotspot that is Porto Cervo. Wandering around in the evening, soaking up the traditional atmosphere and sampling amazing fresh seafood is sure to make you fall in love with the island.

For a more rustic and traditional island getaway head to Sicily, it has a rich history and a very different feel to anywhere else in Italy. The food has a kick, courtesy of centuries of North African influence. With stunning views and an assortment of beaches, from long and sandy to hidden little coves, the only difficulty will be choosing where to lay back and soak up the hot Sicilian sun!

No visit to Italy would be complete without taking in one of the cultural cities; we offer romantic Verona and magical Venice with its maze of canals and waterways. These can be added as second centres to any of our lakes destinations or chosen as short breaks with flights, transfers and accommodation included in the price. Alternatively, another great way to see more of what Italy has to offer is on one of our discovery packages.
