So what's it like?
The charming village of Limone is a quaint and colourful gem, it hugs the north-western shore of the lake, with narrow cobbled shopping streets leading on to an idyllic waterfront and two tiny picturesque harbours. There are regular brass band concerts and even occasional spectacular firework displays.
Relax and discover
Secluded for many years due to being sandwiched between mountains and the lake, this charming fishing village was only accessible by boat until 1932. Since roads arrived via a series of tunnels commissioned by Mussolini, the village had developed into a popular resort. It has a magical feel that you will experience as you wonder around the rolling cobbled streets and explore the assortment of shops. Sample the locally made liqueur Limoncello or relax in a café with a latte macchiato by the picturesque harbour while you immerse yourself in Limone's history.
Keen surfers will love our fantastic pre-bookable package including 2 days equipment hire and 2x 3hr surf lessons - jump on in, Lake Garda is perfect for surfing!

If you want to experience the Lake and some of the highlights of the surrounding area, try our Classic Italian Discovery Package. Must book by 30 April 2014. Available for summer 2014 departure dates only.
Limone has a real buzz about it when the sun goes down. Tourists bustle around the maze of cobbled streets, enjoying shops open until late selling leather goods, spices, dried fruits and jewellery. By the water front the Aperol Spitz is king, you will see tourists and locals sipping this bright orange aperitivo before heading for dinner. There are even occasional firework displays, made even more spectacular by their mountain backdrop and echoed bangs rifling around the cliffs.
The lake is definitely the best way to get about here. Lake ferry services and fast hydrofoil services operate throughout the day to other lakeside towns. There is also a bus service to Milan, Desenzano, and Brescia.
If you want to get away from it all, but can't spare seven days, we have three and four night short breaks available in Limone at the Hotel All'Azzurro, Hotel Garda Bellevue and the Villa Dirce.
Twin centre suggestion
Why not combine a trip on the lake with a stay in the Italian Dolomites, we suggest twinning the Hotel Splendid Palace in Limone with a stay at the Hotel Armin in Selva. Transfer to your second centre by coach or minibus which may be via Verona Airport.
