Local culture
Secluded for many years, due to being sandwiched between mountains and the lake, this charming fishing village was only accessible by boat until 1932. Since roads arrived via a series of tunnels, commissioned by Mussolini, the village had developed into a popular resort. It has a magical feel that you will experience as you wonder around the rolling cobbled streets and explore the assortment of shops. Sample the locally made liqueur Limoncello or relax in a café with a latte macchiato by the picturesque harbour while you immerse yourself in Limone's history.

Evening atmosphere
Limone has a real buzz about it when the sun goes down. Tourists bustle around the maze of cobbled streets, enjoying shops open until late selling leather goods, spices, dried fruits and jewellery. By the water front the Aperol Spitz is king, you will see tourists and locals sipping this bright orange aperitivo before heading for dinner. There are even occasional firework displays, made even more spectacular by their mountain backdrop and echoed bangs rifling around the cliffs.
