So what's it like?
Built on Roman ruins dating back to the 1st century, the quaint, pedestrianised streets of Peschiera are filled with bars and pavement cafés - an ideal spot to sample the local wine and flavours, enjoy the sunshine or hop on one of the many ferry links to the other resorts around the lake.
Relax and discover
Local Culture
The best way of exploring the local culture is by getting out and about! We recommend hiring bikes and cycling down the Mincio River following the Lombardi and Veneto boarder. Back in Peschiera go for a stroll along the original town walls for stunning panoramic views of the southern end of Lake Garda.
Theme parks
Gardaland is Europe’s 3rd biggest theme park, rides include Blue Tornado, Inferno and a classic log flume. At Movieland there's a ‘U-571 Submarine simulator’, the ‘Terminator 5D game’ and the chance to train with Mahoney and Tackleberry at the entertaining ‘Police Academy’!
Water parks
Aquaparadise is a theme park in the water! Leave your stomach at the top when you drop 32 metres on ‘Stukas’ and enjoy the thrill of plunging into the ‘Black Hole’. To relax, head to the centre of the park and soak up the rays at the side of the pool, or watch the kids in the awesome wave machine.
Evening atmosphere
After all the fun of the theme parks, and if you’ve still got the strength, refuel like a Knight at 'Medieval Times'. Eat roast chicken with your fingers and cheer on your Knight as he jousts for his chance to win the Fair Princess. A first-rate evening of family fun.Getting about
There is a regular and efficient ferry service to many towns around the lake. Peschiera has a train station with trains to Milan and Venice.
