    Jam packed full of walking routes for all levels leading you to historical sights, castles, gardens and around vineyards. A feast for the eyes whether you want to hike up to the Chapel of St Barbara or take a leisurely walk along the Sarca river to Arco for a delicious Italian ice cream.

    • A walk up to the Bastione fortress nestled at the foot of Mount Rocchetta for breathtaking views of Piazza Catena and the Apponale tower below- a great place for a picnic.
    • Destination Monte Brione. The smallest mountain in the Dolomite mountain range, Monte Brione sits between Riva and Torbole and it cuts a dashing figure reminiscent of a slice of brie cheese.
    • Sauntering along soaking up the views, the windsurfers and people watching as you take the lake front path away from Riva town towards the Port of St Nicolò and onto Torbole.

    Culture

    A melting pot of cultures and treasures left behind by various conquerors, including the Venetian’s and Austro-Hungarian empire until the town became part of Italy again in 1918. Fortresses defending the town built as early as 1124, churches and intricate architecture are in tact and a delight to stumble upon. Lose yourself in the cobbled streets discovering shops and relax in a cafe on the lake front for a well deserved ice cream.
