3 hr guided tour of the 900 year old UNESCO World Heritage city of Bergen, home to Edvard Grieg's house.
This tour takes you on a scenic drive along Lake Jølster and past the Bøyumsdal glacier to the small rural community of Fjaerland (approx. £40). You will visit the fascinating Norwegian Glacier Museum and then continue via the Supphelle glacier, unique for it's amazingly low altitude (only 51m above sea level). Mid afternoon you'll make a stop for afternoon tea at the Boyum Glacier, the fastest moving arm of the largest glacier in mainland Europe. Olden and the Briksdal glacier (Thurs) from £54
Enjoy a journey back to Nordfjord via the Utvik mountain and then on to the little village of Olden. Continue on a drive along the magnificent Olden valley bringing you to the Briksdal glacier - part of Europe's largest glacier, Jostedalsbreen (487 sq. kms). Take a walk, or troll bus, through the magnificent National Park to the base of this stunning glacier and peaceful glacial lake, past many beautiful waterfalls along the way. Sandane & Nordfjord Folk Museum (Fri) from £42
Drive through the scenic Våtedal Valley to Breim and Sandane, passing the thundering Eidsfossen falls and stopping at the Nordfjord Folk Museum. You will also visit the Gimmestad church which dates back to 1692. On the return journey you will make a stop at Reed to admire the wonderful views of the Breim Lake and then visit the Norwegian Horse centre and Byrkjelo.
