Relax and discover
Walking: At the foot of the dramatic Julian Alps and on the edge of the Triglav National Park, Kranjska Gora has some spectacular scenery to explore. There is everything from a gentle stroll to a full day hike. Your rep is also a qualified walking escort offering an introductory walk at the start of your week and at least 2 other hikes throughout the week.
Adventure sports: There is a fantastic mountain bike park at the top of the Vitranc cable car. Alternatively, there are over 300km of marked cycle trails. Try your hand at fishing in the alpine river, or if you are an adrenaline junkie there is everything from canyoning to white water rafting on the Soca river. Evening atmosphere: Relax in the welcoming bars and cafes in this charming, laid back village. Why not try -
Local Culture: Kranjska Gora is an alpine town dating back to the 14th Century. Visit the weekly local markets and the pretty church that dominates the centre of the village. The Liznjekova House is also well worth a visit - formally a rich estate, it was built in the 17th Century and holds a superb collection of antique furniture.
- At least one of spectacular walks on offer
- Take the cycle trail through 3 countries in one day (both the Italian and Austrian borders are just 7km away!)
- Enjoy a day kayaking down the emerald green waters of the Soca river

Getting about
A frequent bus service runs to nearby resorts, such as Lake Bled. In high season buses also run to Bovec. Please note, longer distance bus journeys are expensive. There is a chairlift that operates daily in high season and 3 days a week during low season.
Twin centre suggestion
Why not try a Twin Centre combining 7 days in the Hotel Lek in Kranjska Gora with 7 days in the fabulous Miramar Hotel in the Croatian resort of Opatija, on the Kvarner Riviera? If choosing any combination including a coastal resort, all flights must be through Ljubljana.
