So what's it like?
Set on the shores of Lake Brienz the Strand is a delightful hotel right on the lake offering spectacular views and a peaceful base for your holiday. All of our bedrooms have a balcony and lake view and meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant or on the sun terrace overlooking the lake. In the evenings you will enjoy the excellent cuisine which includes a selection of fish, barbecues and international specialities.
Iseltwald is a picture postcard village on Lake Brienz offering a haven of peace and tranquility in spectacular surroundings. There is an open-air swimming pool at the end of the village and a number of restaurants renowned for their fish specialities. During the summer months there are regular folklore and musical events giving you the chance to experience some of the true culture of Switzerland. From the village there are some wonderful walks along the lakeside. The magnificent Giesbach waterfalls are close by, accessible either by boat or a pleasant round trip walk. The centre of Interlaken is a 30 minute bus ride away or you can take the ferry from directly outside the hotel.-
